CFM Updates - January 2022

We are continuously upgrading Cloud Fleet Manager, adding new functionality, enhancements and improving the overall usability. With this article, we would like to give you a brief overview of some of the greater edits to the system. For a comprehensive overview of all changes, you can visit the “What’s New” report in Cloud Fleet Manager at any time to see what exactly happened in each of our modules.

New features and enhancements

CFM Accommodations & CFM Emergencies let you easily manage the cabins and bunks on board your vessels, arrange respective cleaning or maintenance services and provide your crew with detailed instructions to respond effectively in a case of emergency.

  • If you don't use CFM Emergencies together with CFM Accommodations, seafarers must be assigned to lifeboats, manually. To improve the usability, you can now assign multiple seafarers to one lifeboat on the 'Lifeboats' tab at once.

CFM Certificates ensures that you all your necessary certificates are up to date and this way, that your vessels are seaworthy. It provides you with various options for the setup of certificate types, such as pre-warning periods, categorization on the revalidation (on expiry, annual or intermediate surveys), the definition of port- or flag-state requirements, or the assignment of responsibilities.

  • The 'Scheduled' table, displayed on your dashboard, now lists the respective name of certificates, and further allows you to access these certificates to apply changes or things alike.

CFM Crewing is your one-stop solution to handle all crew-related tasks centrally and in an intuitive way. From master data management of seafarers, planning the crews on board as well as their relief, the management of working and rest hours of the crew up to managing payrolls, everything can be done in one single solution.

  • We extended the functionality of CFM Crewing by allowing you to modify settings to generate monthly PHL contributions for Filipino seafarers. Further, you can view these generated contributions under ‘Payroll’ of CFM Crewing.

  • The handling of PHL contributions has been modified. The calculation of the SSS EC amount was changed. You can now enter negative values for variable contributions and use rank type as a filter in the monthly contribution summary report.

  • You can now export PHL contribution payslips for Filipino seafarers based on a template created by yourself using the dedicated merge fields to provide these to your seafarers.

  • A new report was added which is relevant for PHL contributions of Filipinos: "Monthly contribution summary".

  • We extended the customisable information for the “Seafarer export”, now allowing you to export information regarding the Seafarer ID. This enables you seamlessly to cross-reference other records.

  • We have enabled notifications for retrospectively created payrolls, allowing you to effortlessly verify payroll data.

  • You are now automatically directed to the origin of the record type that you selected from the 'Records for Deletion' report.

  • To increase the intuitiveness of system generated documents, we specified an icon for recalculated positions of payrolls which is displayed in group header level accordingly.

CFM Inventory allows you to keep track of all equipment, materials or supplies in stock on individual vessels. To enhance clarity, you can easily define various storage locations on board your vessels and categorise your stock, either by using pre-defined categories from settings or by simply specifying your own on the fly.

  • We extended functions of the Inventory module, allowing you to add inventory items from existing purchase catalogs as a new menu item.

  • The option to add inventory items from existing purchase catalogs as a new menu item is now linked to respective user rights.

CFM Portal gives all your employees access to one central source of information. Every onshore user has a clear dashboard view of the latest and most important information on staff, departments and ships right at the beginning of the workday. Whether it’s a crew change, expired certificate or staff absence, you can efficiently identify critical incidents and prioritise your response.

  • We updated the schedule overview in the fleet area of CFM Portal. To ease your compliance with respective requirements, we increased the displayed level of information density, now showing you the ISPS Security Level in the overview of the schedule report as well as in the detail view.

  • If a vessel of yours has more than one main engine, this will be displayed in the section ‘Main Engine’ of the event report tabs.

  • When accessing the details of a vessel, in the interest of exhaustiveness, all main engines are now displayed if there is more than one.

  • We improved the overall consistency by extending our Portal table for Offhire & Claims with further information, such as Total cost, Bunker cost, Final cost, and Final cost incl. Bunker.

CFM Purchase provides you with all sections of the purchasing process at one point in an intelligently structured manner, gives you full control over your budgets and allows your suppliers to work directly with this information. Thanks to an intuitive dashboard that features the most relevant information and upcoming tasks, CFM Purchase always focuses on what is important and streamlines the complete purchasing workflow.

  • We extended our Dashboard table 'Expected Deliveries' with additional columns for Supplier, Order Number, and Budget Group to be more informative at a quick glance.

  • To ease the compliance with IHM regulations while creating requisitions, we implemented a checkbox that allows you to mark items as IHM-relevant and therefore needing respective treatment.

  • We have launched the new 'Manufacturer Report' that displays all manufacturers and the number of active purchase catalog items.

CFM Templates is the collection of all your templates. Hamper differences in layouts and simplify the understanding on both your customers’ and your side. We offer you all templates for the respective departments of your company. Whether employment contracts, order forms, voyage or time charter invoices, vacation requests or generic forms: With CFM Templates you are all geared up.

  • New merge fields were added to the payslip templates of Filipino contributions allowing you to return all home allotment splittings of a specific payroll month.
